PCC 2020 Rugby Golf Club – Carby Carves It Out !! – 43 points in 38 Degrees !!

The heat was on ! 19 of the most talented sports men, glofers older people stood atop the 1st Tee at Rugby Golf Club.

This was the the BIG one , the air was stifling with expectation or something similar.

 

4 hours later a rag tag bunch of dishevelled refugees stumbled into the club house begging for water.

 

It was hot – hot – hot !

But one man ! Famed for his underpants superb golf swing ignored the heat and banged in a spectacular 43 point round to win, for the 3rd time, The Peter Crowhurst Celebration Trophy !.

And the Winner is ….. Nigel Carby ! or Uncle Nige as his many many fans know him.

 

Unfortunately Nigel and also Tony Bryan , gallant 2nd place man with 42 points , were absent from the Prize Presentation due to an administrative error, or baby sitting as it is now known.

The Trophy will be presented on Tuesday 4th August at Newark Golf Club where the Portugal 2020 **Asterisks** Tour continues.
