The sun shone as a star studded group of golfers stood on the first tee at Kibworth Golf Club.

The field was just full of former champions , 10 in all !

: Ian Waterhouse , of Fashionista Fame, Big K Shorrocks, MK Seve, himself, The Mighty Dearsley Brothers Jack, and Clive (no relation ) , Stu (Biffa) Amos , Mick Rushall (Pond Boy), Lord Chilly of Uzerlam and  Sir Roger Large. What a turn out ! and they were joined by a cast of hopefuls from across the globe.

The scene was set, a magnificent day on greens as fast as a minky’s minky and lush fairways and of course trees and a pesky brook. It was a quality field but as often happens on these occasions there is always one spawny lucky individual quality Player who takes the day by the scruff of the neck and smashes in a big big score , and today it was none other than Hoppy Dearsley , already a 3 times winner.

“The boy Crowhurst was looking down on me today !” said Dearsley as he accepted the magnificent Trophy. “A tiny bit of skill on my part but a fantastic day !”

Chairman MK Seve stepped up to address the gathered fans : “Welcome everyone, Wonderful day great course and mine’s a pint of lager please !” and the celebrations commenced.

Dearsley holding the Trophy aloft supported by the other Players in their normal respectful manner.

The triumphant Yellow Ball Team of Chill, Simon and Max. (The only team to not lose their ball !)

Mr Rushal claiming 65% of the Nearest the Pin prizes.

And the Chairman addresses the throng. (And Mick R wins again with the prize for being in more than 65% of the photos )
