I would like to take this opportunity to thank my fellow competitors in trying to win this awesome trophy but it seems the 25/1 outsider romped home. I know SeveBet are cashing in and fair play to the owner, my cousin, and yes I will join you in the Bahamas next week.

I feel a tinge of regret for General Secretary Clive Dearsley, a man of integrity and quiet humour, a man who makes heads turn away when he walks into a room, he was the great unwashed’s favourite son to win it but when the chips were down the big fish moved in.

Once again, thank you all. Now, where’s my passport.
